Happy Birthday MOM!  You are the best :)

Things you probably didn't know about our MOM:
  • She is a natural red head (okay, you might have known that one)
  • She prefers sugar as her pancake topper (great for a diabetic)
  • No matter how many lights you put on your Christmas tree, she will always want to add more
  • She is always willing to take a road trip
  • She LOVES Kimberly High School athletics
  • She has been honored as Biggest Fan (and has the T-shirt to prove it)
  • She has enough Christmas sweatshirts to not have to wash them all season long
  • She's a leftie... although can spank you with either hand (depending on which one the wooden spoon is in)
  • She thinks everyone should watch the SESQUENTIAL CELEBRATION multiple times (especially during Chrismas)
  • She Loves, Loves, Loves the movie, The Blind Side
  • She never took piano lessons, but is willing to help you practice (she may be the expert at counting 1 and 2 and 3 and 4)
  • She's an avid pine-nut eater...
  • She has the best children ever, many people have commented on how great they are
  • She is a great MOM
  • She likes being a Grandma, and is very good at it
  • She loves to read
  • She is the 4th child (of 9) so she suffers from middle child syndrome
  • She never misses a day of reading the paper, and will gladly let you know if anyone you went to school with is in For The Record or the Obituaries
  • She only responds to MRS. ANDREW-- not mom, honey, Lillian, dear, hey you
  • She makes the best hot chocolate
  • She always willing to dispense advice (wanted or not)
  • She can't wait to reitre (but I mean who isn't excited for that day)
  • She doesn't make a big deal out of her Birthday, so you should go out and celebrate it for her :)

So my favorite on the list was "she will tell you if any of your friends are in the For the record or the obituaries" because my mom does the exact same thing. SO funny:)
happy birthday late!!

Okay! Why did I just almost die laughing? I love the note about about your mom being able to spank with both hands despite the fact that she is left handed. The wooden spoon thing made my heart jump because I thought you were talking about MY mom. LOL! My mom always had a wooden spoon in one of her hands and would hit us with it. It finally broke on my brother's butt, which we celebrated. Then- she pulled out another woooden spoon out of nowhere and continued the beating. LOL! I love the fact that we are so different, but so much dang alike. Your mom sure did have some great kids. Although I only know you and Ashley, I am sure the rest of your clan is freakin' awesome! I hope your mom had a great b-day.
